Welcome to ProtonURL ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our end-to-end encrypted, one-time-read secret sharing service available at https://secureurl.tech (the "Service").

By creating an account, subscribing to any plan, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you: (a) are at least 18 years of age; (b) have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms; (c) agree to our Privacy Policy; and (d) are authorized to enter into this agreement on behalf of yourself or any organization you represent.

⚠️ Important: If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. Continued use after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

1. The Service

ProtonURL provides an end-to-end encrypted, one-time-read secret sharing platform. Content is encrypted in your browser before upload; we transmit and store only ciphertext; content is permanently destroyed after the first read. Anonymous use is free; optional accounts and API subscriptions unlock additional features.

2. Eligibility & Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and API keys. Activity under your account is your responsibility.
• Accounts are optional: links created without an account are anonymous and are not associated with any user.
• If you represent a company or organization, you confirm you are authorized to bind that entity to these Terms.

3. Nature of One-Time Links

You understand and accept that:

• Content is destroyed permanently after the first successful read. We cannot restore it under any circumstances.
• Anyone possessing the full link (including the key fragment for key-based links) can read the content once. Guard your links carefully.
• Passphrase-protected links cannot be recovered if the passphrase is lost.
• The Service is not an identity-verification tool; recipients should verify link authenticity independently.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

4.1 Subscription Plans

We offer the following paid subscription plans: API Starter, API Pro, and API Business. Plan details and current pricing are available at /pricing. We reserve the right to modify plan features or introduce new plans at any time.

4.2 Automatic Renewal Authorization

By providing a payment method and subscribing to a paid plan, you explicitly authorize ProtonURL to charge your payment method on a recurring periodic basis for the corresponding subscription fee. This periodic authorization remains in effect until you cancel your subscription per Section 5.

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel. For annual subscriptions, we will send a renewal reminder before charging your card.

4.3 Billing & Payment

Payments are processed by our PCI-DSS compliant payment processor Waffo Pancake. We do not store your card data on our servers. Prices listed do not include applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax, etc.) unless stated otherwise; where required by law, we collect and remit such taxes.

4.4 Price Changes

We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply only to future billing cycles, not the current period.

5. Cancellation Policy

5.1 How to Cancel

You may cancel your subscription at any time via one of the following methods:

• Online (recommended): Account Settings → Subscription → Cancel Subscription
• Email: Send a cancellation request from your registered email address to

Cancelation takes effect immediately. We will send a confirmation email within 10 minutes.

5.2 Effect of Cancellation

• Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.
• No further charges will be made after cancellation.
• Account data will be retained for 90 days after cancellation, then deleted per our Privacy Policy.

6. Refund Policy

Due to the immediate digital delivery nature of our Service, subscription fees are generally non-refundable, except in the following cases:

• New subscriber 7-day guarantee: First-time subscribers may request a full refund within 7 days of their initial charge, provided usage does not exceed 10% of the plan quota.
• Duplicate charges: Full refund for billing errors resulting in duplicate charges.
• Verified service interruption: If our service is interrupted for more than 72 consecutive hours due to our fault, you are eligible for a prorated refund or credit.
• Statutory rights: Where applicable law grants withdrawal or refund rights (e.g., EU 14-day cooling-off period), those rights are preserved.

To request a refund, email with your account email, transaction ID, and reason. We confirm receipt within 2 business days and process eligible refunds within 5–10 business days.

7. API Usage

API access requires an active paid plan and is subject to the monthly quota of your plan. Abuse of the API (excessive automated reading, scraping, or attempts to bypass quotas) may result in throttling or termination.

8. Billing Disputes

If you believe a charge is in error, please contact us at before contacting your bank or card issuer. We commit to responding within 2 business days and resolving confirmed billing errors within 5 business days.

9. AI Content & Intellectual Property

9.1 Output Content Ownership

Content you generate or share through the Service ("Output Content") belongs to you, subject to your compliance with these Terms. You may use Output Content for any lawful purpose consistent with Section 10.

9.2 Input Content License

By submitting content to the Service ("Input Content"), you grant ProtonURL a limited, non-exclusive license solely for the purpose of delivering the Service to you. We will not use your Input Content to train AI models without your explicit consent.

9.3 Third-Party AI Model Dependence

The Service uses third-party AI model providers for certain features. Service performance and availability may be affected by these providers' operating status. Significant disruptions will be communicated to users promptly. We do not guarantee specific output quality and are not liable for content generated by third-party AI models.

9.4 AI Output Accuracy

AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI-generated output before relying on it.

10. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to use the Service to share or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, or prohibited under our Acceptable Use Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts or links that violate these rules.

10.1 AI-Specific Prohibitions

In addition to the general prohibitions above, given the AI-enabled nature of this Service, you specifically agree not to:

• Use the Service's input, output, model responses, or any derivative data to train, fine-tune, benchmark, distill, or otherwise develop any AI or machine learning model that directly or indirectly competes with the Service or ProtonURL.
• Large-scale systematic scraping or collection of model outputs for purposes beyond your authorized personal use.
• Represent AI-generated content as output from a human professional (e.g., licensed doctor, attorney, or financial advisor) in contexts where doing so could cause harm.

11. Intellectual Property

The Service's software, branding and design are owned by us or our licensors. You retain all rights to the content you share; the Service merely transmits encrypted data on your behalf.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM LIABILITY FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM USE OF THE SERVICE.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100 if you use the Service free of charge.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, suspected fraud, or when required by law. If we terminate for reasons not attributable to your breach, you will receive a prorated refund for any prepaid, unused period. You may delete your account at any time by contacting .

15. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ProtonURL is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before initiating formal proceedings, please contact to attempt informal resolution. Mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence remain unaffected.

16. General Provisions

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be announced at least 14 days in advance via email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain fully effective. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ProtonURL.
